To launch the campaign we are planning a Balloon Festival at The Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff!

Review of The Balloon Festival

Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff.

27th - 29th August 2011

The 1st public Balloon Art Festival lived up to all of the expectations. The sculpture of a giant clown fish and an enormous Octopus as well as an elegant trio of Dolphins diving out of water alongside suspended mobiles of Seahorses, Fish and Octopus all came together to make this event a real spectacle for the public.  Check out the photos in our Gallery

Creating public awareness of balloon art and decor was one of the aims of this festival but by generating interest and attracting people to the festival gave us an opportunity to highlight the green credentials of latex balloons and build a better understanding of balloons and the environment.  With over 40,000 visitors coming to The Red Dragon Centre the weekend was spent talking to members of the public and answering their questions as well as offering an educational programme to schools and childrens organisations.  It was very surprising to discover that the majority of people believed that latex balloons were not biodegradeable and many thought they were made of plastic.  It was a fantastic opportunity to explain and set the records straight.  Overall this was an incredibly successful event,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those people who made this event possible:
